Xplor Park turns the Riviera Maya’s caves, cenotes, and jungle into a full day of action. You can race an amphibious vehicle through flooded tunnels, paddle a hand-powered raft underground, swim beneath stalactites, and fly across 14 ziplines that finish with a splash. It is part adventure park, part natural cave experience.
I especially like the included buffet and drinks, since you can eat as much as you need after several hours of walking, climbing, and swimming. I also like that the ticket covers the main equipment and a locker for two, so you do not need to carry your valuables from one activity to the next.
The main caution is time. Six hours sounds generous, but the park is large, the routes involve stairs and walking, and popular activities can develop long lines. Taxis are not included, and getting there and back can add a noticeable amount to the day’s cost.
