“Do not miss this tour if you are in Oaxaca! The site at Monte Alban is so incredibly beautiful and as a family we can’t stop talking about it! We had a wonderful guide and were on the same tour as Hugo from a previous review. He is such an engaging and friendly person who cares deeply about the site and the people of the indigenous community. What the Zapotecs achieved here is simply mind blowing. You must go! Transportation and timing of the tour was perfect.”

“Magical experience, a must do. Thalia and her team are amazing. They know where the whales are and maintain safe distances with concern to the whales safety. The group is small which is ideal, the boat is the perfect size. When too many other boats approached we left to find other whales. An absolutely fabulous day. Highly recommend.”

Gear and ice are included, but bait, licenses, dock fees, and fish processing cost extra.

“The two licenses fee and baits (3 small fishes) was US$60 additiinal and was to be paid to the boat guide Tony, who was an experienced local fisherman, but he finished our boat trip 1.5hrs early without asking if we wanted to continue. Also be aware of who takes and how much of the fish before being processed. We caught a bonito and a marlin. Our guide Tony who can speak basic English gave our fishes without asking to a guy with a big bucket. We tried to follow the guy who took our Marlin for processing very quickly and after processing by he gave half the Marlin to the…”

Afternoon Half-Day Catmaran Sailing and Snorkel Adventure

13.Afternoon Half-Day Catmaran Sailing and Snorkel Adventure

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 71 reviews · 5 hours (approx.) · from $49

Spend about five hours on a 37-foot catamaran from Cancun, with snorkeling gear, guacamole and chips, an open bar, and roughly two hours on Isla Mujeres. The crew, including guides such as Carlos, Felipe, and Jose, is known for friendly service, though wind, crowds, and a $20 dock fee can affect the day.

“The catamaran cruise itself was great. The Isle of Mujeres was not. Narrow streets packed with cars, scooters and golf carts, wall to wall open air shops with locals trying to sell you something. Our meeting point after free time was Diamonds International. They sold "Cuban Cohiba Cigars"there. The salesman assured me over and over they were authentic. I should have done research in advance rather than afterwards. They were fake. The guy flat out lied to me. They also sell tequila and jewelry. I'd steer clear of that too. Go to the island, just not downtown.”
